hello, looking for a small multitap transformer like the one in the attachement. the circuit is called the 'octopus'. it is a curve tracer add on for an oscilloscope. please contact me if you have one for cheap!

Multi-tap transformers like that are difficult if not impossible to find these days.

Have you considered using 4 transformers in series? I can find 5VAC transformers in the UK for about £3.00 each from Farnell Electronics. Would they do the job?

That looks like a custom-wound transformer. Commercially, you can get AC adaptors for 3/4.5/6/7.5/9/12V outputs like this one if your design can be compromised.

    http://www.ebay.com/itm/Lloytron-300mA-Unregulated-AC-DC-Powwer-Adapter-3-4-5-6-7-5-9-12-Multi-Voltage-/170814800108?pt=UK_Sound_Vision_Other&hash=item27c55b00ec#ht_500wt_798

Just open the adaptor and use the transformer inside.

Here in my town I can get China-made AC adaptors with muti-voltage outputs very cheaply. They have outputs for 3V-12V in 6 steps.
