Would appreciate some guidance on my simple circuit

Would this 3 pin rocker switch work without the 3rd pin connected to anything? So if i flicked the switch up the LED would come on, but the switch wouldn't turn anything on. Thanks guys :)

I'd ask the e-bay seller for a pinout. It's not clear from the add how the LED behaves. On all the time (with other dashboard lights) or switched.
