Working of digital multimeter

    does any one know how a typical digital multimeter works i.e how it detects the voltage,current, continuity and how these detected signals r converted into digital signals to drive the LCD display....? thank u in advance...

    Try the DVM circuit at the link - http://electronics-diy.com/ICL7107_volt_meter.php

    Poke around a bit and you will find an ammeter circuit. Google will explain about reading resistance. Use "icl7107" as a search term to obtain the data sheet for the IC to see how it works.
