With PWM Generators Why do designers use Greencaps ?

This is a question for all you guru's out there!

I've been building different PWM modules to learn with and the one thing that always puzzles me is for nearly every design I have seen, everybody seems to use Greencaps for the frequency adjust.

Why would I choose greencaps over say a Tantalum, Monolithic or ceramic capacitor?

A "greencap" is an inexpensive Oriental metalized foil capacitor that is frequently 5% and does not change value when the temperature changes.
Tantalum and ceramic capacitors have a wide range of tolerance and change with temperature.
