Hello

First time poster here so go easy. Dont have much knowledge of electronics in the slightest.

Im in the process of converting my garage into a home bar/games room and have managed to get a hold of some bar taps from my mate.

Hes given me the voltage box and also the bar taps (which will light up when connected)

Problem ive got is the box has red and black connectors (as below)

and the wires are Orange and Purple (as below)

Does anyone know the correct wiring requried here in order to get the taps to light up?

Ive tried both ways but nothing seems to work?

Have I maybe blown a fuse with attempting the wrong way?

Thanks

Hello,

Are the purple and orange wire from the 240V connection?
Is the fuse (3.15 A) ok ?
Is the switch in working order?

Greetings,
Bertus

The purple and orange wires are from the bar taps and will be used for making the taps light up.

Switch is in working order.

Fuse appears to be ok but couldnt be certain?

Any idea what the correct wiring should be?

Thanks a lot
Much appreciated

Hello,

The fuse can be measured with a multimeter in resistance measurement.
When you do measure a value of about 0 ohm, the fuse is ok.
To what is the purple and orange wires connected?
Can you follow the wires to where they are connected?

Greetings,

If the output is 24 VAC, then there is no polarity to the wires. AC doesn't care. The label does not state the nature of the 24 volt output.

Black / Red quick connects on the face would say DC to me......... 240v 50Hz input would be foreign to the USA anyway.

What is on the reverse of the box ?
