Black and Decker 3/8" VSR Drill, Model 7127, with a Lucerne 5087 switch

Garage sale find for $1.00.

The drill was frozen in the gearing area, fixed that.

In the process of discovering that, I removed the armature, and the wires fell out of the switch.

I can't tell where they go, and I can't find a schematic of the wiring.

Does anyone know of a link to a wiring diagram, or can you help me figure it out?

Thanks,

Normally there is two in two out, line and load pairs, the neutral side is usually unswitched or controlled so if two measure 0 ohms then this most likely candidate for the neutral.

MAx, All,
Here is a drawing that hopefully shows the help I need.
Thanks for your help.
Two in and two out would help explain extra wires vs holes.

But if you could give me specifics based on the drawing that would be awesome.

Thanks again,
Gary

Turns out the switch is broken inside.
I was able to repair part of it, but not all.
A replacement switch costs between $10.00 to $30.00, + shipping.

I guess this item really needs to go in the trash.

I will salvage the chuck and key (and the brushes).

Thanks for posting

Gary

In case anyone is interested, I finally found a wiring diagram, but it's not B & D.
Milwaukeetools.com has a great link for diagrams.
I went to eBay and found a model number for a 3/8" VSR, and used that at the Milwaukee site.

Attached are two .pdfs

I may be able to save the drill if I can fix the switch, will post back later.

BTW I enjoy posting solutions when I find them, or receive them from you guys, because I can't remember all of this stuff.
If I post it, or know what to search for, it's like I never loose it. This site is awesome.............
