Hello. First post so sorry if i have overlooked something.

I'm attempting to make a led panel with 1000 leds wired together and running off a battery/battery pack

The leds i'm currently looking at has forward voltage 3.2-3.4v if 20ma. My question is what kinda battery pack setup would i need to run 1000 of these for at least 3 hours ideally longer.

If you can point me to calculators or equations to work this out it would be awesome. Sorry if this is too basic, i may be able to figure it out but its been a heck of a week and its 4am.

thanks in advance

A 12V battery could power 3 per chain.

That works out to approx 333 chains.

Each chain is 0.02A. So 333 X 0.02 = 6.7A

3hrs X 6.7A = 20AH, be sure the battery handle 6.7A
