Will this work

    Hello,

    It's like a simple voltaic cell. The only difference between voltaic cell and this is that this has more strips, five pair strips.

    Please look at the diagram I attached. Please correct me if I am wrong that zinc is the negative and copper is the positive.

    I just connected many strips to have more voltage to come.:D

    It will probably work to a certain extent, but it is much better to add insulating dividers between the cells to stop current flowing through the electrolyte between cells like this:

    Without the dividers I think it will discharge itself.
    You could put each cell in it's own jar and see what difference it makes.
