Your ckt. will work as shown- if you wish that the first LED is on, second is verry dim, remainder all off. As Max said, best to reverse color of wire leads.
If you wanted all LEDs to light, put a resistor in series with each LED, then then connect all groupes in parallel across power leads- clear as mud? Or connect
3 LEADs in series with a 43 ohm R, or better 2 LEDs in series with a 220 ohm R. If sticking with 5 LEDs, a single LED would then need about a 360 ohm R.
It might be best if you could describe the end result desired.
