I'm trying to design a Wein-Bridge oscillator using a BJT. In class, we've only studied using a basic op-amp with the r1/r2 negative feedback network, and either L1/R and L2/R or C1/R C2/R with "Z2/(Z2+Z1)" for impedance, very very basic. The assignment asks that we use a BJT instead of an omp-amp, which is why I'm confused.

Can I use a basic CE amplifier with quad resistor bias? I'm pretty confused here as the only specification given was the center frequency (I'm assuming frequency of oscillation) of about 8000hz. No other values were given. It seems that there are too many unknowns.

If you guys could point me in the right direction it would help a bunch.

No schematics because I haven't designed the circuit yet.
