Hi all,
I have been trying for over 2 years now to get the cable pictured below. I have written to RS (it's supplied with a new one of their Isotech IDM207's) but they can't (won't) help. I have written to APPA...same result. And I have spent days in total trawling the web. There's a couple of companies in Russia has them but they don't reply to emails written in English. I'm stuck! It's an 'Optical RS232 cable'. Second pic is the socket type it plugs into on the IDM207.
Anyone with any ideas? If you can even identify the plug name, number or maker I would be grateful. Thanks, Dave.

 

The connector is called an SC connector for fiber connections.

 

I've seen them as a box-type converter but not as just a cable...

I have a optic cable used for RS232 from an old CNC machine, it was never used, I can see if I can find it buried in the inventory somewhere!
