How does one determine when they need to use a gate driver IC?

I am driving a 2.6 ohm load from a FET which has an Rds of .9 ohms and a gate capacitance of 2160pF.

I need to use a NOR to drive the FET gate. How do I determine if I can use a standard 4001 or if I need a special driver chip (to reduce the rise time of the square wave)?

 

Since I'm working without "how fast do you want it" (time) I will give you the formulas. You can figure out the current needed and see which chip can supply that.
