    Hi there!

I have a pot connected to a board.
I need to insert a toggle switch between pot and board in order to select one of 3 possible states (what type of switch is needed?-I don´t want rotary-and how to connect it?)

position switch 1: normal operation of the pot (wiper end to end)

position switch 2: wiper jumps to one end of the range (moving the wiper nothing happens in this condition)

position switch 3: wiper jumps tothe other end of the range (moving the wiper nothing happens in this condition)

I can´t get how to achieve this [IMG]
    Thanks for your help! [IMG]

You need a SP3T (single pole, three throw) toggle switch.

One connection to one end of the pot, one to the wiper, and one to the other end of the pot. The common terminal is the output.
