Starting a project, and would like opinions on what I should use to control the device - FPGA, CPLD, Microcontroller, Microprocessor, ...
~10" capacitive touch, led backlit LCD (main power consumption)
Cypress CyFi chip (lower power RF chip)
Some memory for graphics and static information
battery and the charging circuitry,
so would also have ext power connection
kind of like have a tablet terminal.
memory can be volitile if it makes it more power friendly during use.
So far, leaning towards microcontroller, ARM 11 or AVR32, but dont have all the facts on them yet.
Any ideas and opinions greatly welcome!
