I DRIVE A VEHICLE FOR A LIVING AND I FOUND THIS ON THE FLOOR OF MY VEHICLE.

THE SMALL WHITE RECTANGLE IN THE CENTER OF THE DEVICE IS A RED LIGHT, IT WAS BLINKING.

THERE ARE TWO LR41 BUTTON CELL BATTERIES IN EACH CORNER.

ANYONE HAVE AN IDEA OF WHAT KIND OF DEVICE THIS IS?

Although on second look there is PCCT for what appears to be two push buttons.

DID YOU SEE THE PHOTO OF THE PICTURE WITHOUT USING A FLASH?

 

I though the PCCT detail was HF antenna but I think it is PB contacts of some kind, whatever it fell out of?

THOSE TWO AREAS THAT ARE EMPTY ARE WHERE THE LR41 BATTERIES WERE LOCATED. I PUSHED THEM OUT.

 

The entire thing is smaller than a quarter. Less than 1"x1"

 

It has the letters STR-03A on the circuit board somewhere.

At first I thought it could be some sort of alarm remote, from a keychain. But then I didn't see the antenna

I already did. It said something about a rocket.

I am a taxi driver. Someone left this in the back seat.

 

But, this thing was just blinking on its own. Like a standalone little circuit. I have no idea what it's function could be. LOL

Looks like it was a key fob of sorts, now less the buttons. Now it looks like a small circuit board with a blinking LED. You can put the batteries back in and short where the buttons made contact and see if the blinking changes.

Probably nothing special. IC looks very simple for it to be something dangerous.

 

It obviously is a taxi troll. Ignore and throw it in the trash. It will not explode; however, it may contain a small amount of leaded solder. In which case, using appropriate PPE, take it to a hazardous waste disposal facility.
