What is this component?

    I've never seen these elsewhere. They're in an audio pre-amp. It's a tiny glass cylinder with two bits inside that are apparently metal. And it looks like those bits are floating freely inside the tube. TIA!

    Yes, they look like diodes.

    They look to me like diodes in MELF packages.

    Thanks for the replies. Diodes... Of course! Guess I'm not accustomed to seeing them in this package. And they looked odd due to the apparent internal misalignment.
