Hi
I was reading about isolation transformer in google , I found this

" Mains isolation transformers can sometimes be used to help reduce the electrical noise at an emissions test site by breaking ground current paths. The lower their leakage and the higher their isolation the better "
http://incompliancemag.com/article/guide-to-testing-conducted-emissions-part-2/

What does that meaning mean?
thanks

Emissions tests are often done in a screen room that is shielded to block any electromagnetic waves from going in or out of the room.
One sneak path for these waves would be a conduction path through any transformers that feed power into the room. Thus isolation transformers are used which are specifically designed to have low capacitance and high resistance between the input and output to minimize this conduction.
