Hello, all!
Please help. I need to design the smallest possible GPS/GPRS tracker. What is the smallest chip available? I can trade some functional capability for a smaller size. I am new to this area, so would appreciate some direction. Just need a configuration that identifies device location and communicates information to a server. Thanks!

PS I have a BSEE and experience with microprocessor design but I've been out of the game for a while...pretty rusty. Thanks.

here is a complete module, less than an inch x 1/2 inch (25.20mm x 12.40) this includes the antenna http://www.linxtechnologies.com/Products/RF-Modules/SR-Series-GPS-Receiver-Module/

and here is just the module 10mm x 15mm but needs an antenna still >> http://www.linxtechnologies.com/Products/RF-Modules/SG-Series-GPS-Receiver-Module/

these may not be the smallest around or whats available, but these are what I know off.... and very good for newbies and beginners too (not saying the op is a newbie or anything, just very simple to use)
