What is FLED, and what does it do?

    as seen in the circuit, I am assuming the FLED is to provide a voltage drop??

    I am going to make a guess at flashing LED.

    ... and make an even wilder guess that the FLED is designed to operate the motor in bursts, in time with the FLED.

    Something looks wrong to me, but my design skills are rubbish, so mabe I just don't understand how that circuit works.

    ..... but isn't there a danger that the left hand transistor could turn fully on, causing excessive current from base to emitter of the right hand transistor?

    I do not pretend to actually know what I am talking about, so maybe wait for an expert circuit designer to reply :)
