What IC is this?

    Hi,

    trying to find a datasheet/pinout for this chip. It's on the display/keypad unit of a stove. All the lower pins on the picture go to a keypad but I couldn't tell how they are connected to it, it's a sealed keypad.

    On the chip it says:

    NEC Japan
    51A1010V38
    0217KP009
    A69

    Thanks for any ideas!

    Looks like a Microcontroller. Stock numbers replaced with a customer-specific (project specific) part number because it was pre-programmed at the factory with customer's firmware.

    51 could be for 8051 compatible
    V38 is the revision
    0217 is the datecode - 2002 week 17

    Agreed, looks like a 8051 micro.
