Is that a benchtop pick and place machine?

Yes, it is a mamiya pick and place machine. Places about 1300 components per hour. It has an 8 reel feeder and a 12 tube vibratory feeder.

 

How often do you use it?

A chip I would like to find the data sheet on someday is the 4500. It is a single bit CPU, and has totally disappeared from sight. It was a neat chippie.

That's an old game.

The hot plate and frying pan are for surface mount soldering, hence the solder stuck to them.

As a kid I used to like shiny and flashy disco lights but I took the ball down to hang my plane up and I like taking mirrors off the ball occasionally for projects.

I have a part time work bench,the stool I use for reaching things now.
Put down a few towels and laying things out as I find them.
I'm foolish enough to think that plasma T.V. will make difference

Not often enough.....

I used to go into the workshop every evening. That was before I had a partner. I am lucky if I get in there for ten or twelve hours a month now. If I am a good boy, maybe she will let me down there more often....
