what does n.c means in this IC?

    Hi, might need to ask what is the meaning of n.c here? Not connected?
    Pin 7 here is basically write protect input.

    nc on a chip usually means not connected

    Yes, no connection.

    That particular IC has a pull-down on the write protect pin to enable writes by default.
    If you want to disable writes, pull that pin high.

    It means the chip is made in North Carolina. :)

    For an IC pin, NC will be "no connection". For a switch or relay contact, NC means "normally closed".
