I HAVE SEMI AUTOMATIC WASHING MACHINE OF WHIRLPOOL BUT IT HAS STOPPED FUNCTIONG MAINLY WASHERTUB BECAUSE THE MECHANICAL TIMER WHICH ( GENERALLY IS USED IN ALL THE SEMI AUTOMATIC MACHINE) STOPPED FUNCTIONING DUE TO RUSTED MECHANICAL STRIPS WHICH WHERE WHERE USED BROKE AWAY.
NOW I WANT TO BUILT ELECTRONIC TIMER WHICH COULD BE GOVERNED BY SAY ACTIVE COMPONENT SAY THYRISTER AND NOT BY RELAY AS IT MAKES LOT OF SOUND.
CAN SOMEBODY HELP TO DO THE SAME AND IT WILL HELP A LOT OF PEOPLE TO SOLVE THIS COMMON PROBLEM .
I WANT TO REPLACE IT BUT STILL MOTOR OF WASHER TUB AND DRYER ARE AND ARE IN WORKING CONDITION.:)

If you can provide a schematic for the mechanical timer and relays, we can help walk you through the design of a solid state replacement.

Please be aware that the value of your time involved in creating such a system may exceed the value of new mechanical timer.
