vu meter

    sir i just want to ask if what is the input of the attached circuit nad where do i connect it to get the varying outputs...and canthe ordinary POT be able to used on its input to produce the varying outputs on the led??.

    If I understand the question, you can place a voltage of fixed magnitude in place of the audio input and use the VR1 control to vary the numbers of LED's lit.

    Just apply the audio between the audio input and ground. You can use a pot on the input signal...but if the chip is calibrated for VU, that will change the calibration. Standard practice is 0dBm at the top range of the green.
