hello, i have found this site while looking for help with my project. i am very familiar with electronics and schematics. i am looking for a 12v circuit that has a simple timed delay on. like 10 - 30 secs i was thinking like 2 relays with a couple capacitors chained between. ?? anyone help please

    What is this circuit?

    What power does it require?

just running a 12v dc motor, from a 12v dc battery, no more than a 5 amp pull. just wanting a delayed start on the motor after the power switch is tripped and i'm hoping i can do this without anykind of timer.

It depends on the duration of the delay.

How long do you want the delay to last?

some where in the vicinity of 10 - 20 sec delay and to stay on until the power is cut to the circuit

A time-delay relay will work for this.

A 555 wired as monostable will work too.
