Hello,
I am looking into voltage regulators, but so far am having difficulty finding good references to learn about them. Are there some references, such as papers, textbooks, tutorials, etc, that discuss voltage regulators and transistor level designs?
Thanks.

National Semiconductor application notes formed a good part of my education. They are free, online, and practical (because they tell you about parts you can buy and use in today's designs). Look up a few @ www.national.com.

As said by the #12 National semiconductor has the large number of variety in Power Regulators you can search in their product list and select the Regulator which suits to your application.

I mean proper regulator with enough current and voltage capacity. :)

I agree, National.com has a ton of info on them. Different voltages, adjustable, pos / neg, low dropout ... really boils down to what you need regulated...
