I am building a voice changer for my son's holloween costume and i can't get any sound. the LM386 circuit is heating up badly but i don't see any cross soldering. can someone help me diagnose the problem? i only have a few days to get this together and i'm getting desperate!:)

Pictures of the circuit as well as a schematic might help the effort.

I got the sound working, however the button for the robot voice (Switch 5) is very noisy i can't figure out a way to filter it to get it to sound the way its supposed to. It works correctly once in a while but its not consistent. I've included a schematic of the kit however it doesn't show that there is a 224 cap between pins 1 and 8 of the lm386 amplifier
