I need a voice activate relay to control a shotgun trap/ skeet machine,
Relay must close for only an instant then open for the next voice comand.
Appreciate any help with this project.

You can make a sound activated relay...

But making a voice activated relay (that is, one which listens to commands like "open" and "close") will be difficult. You will need a speech recognition device (probably a digital signal processor.)

Although I doubt it will need to recognize anything but the presence of a shout, the word will probably be "PULL"

Microphone amp triggers 555 astable which drives relay. Duty cycle adjusted as necessary to meet conditions.

Do you have a schematic and parts list that will work? It needs to be small and light weight.Thanks.

Not offhand and too tired to design anything after working all week. I'm sure someone around here could design a simple mike amp with an op-amp driving a transistor that controls a relay.
