    Hi ,
this is a great website to learn electricity.
I a an anesthetist dealig with concepts of electricity in practice.
can some one kindly explain how to understand the formation of virtual cathodes and anodes as concepts and explain it to some one.I have spent so much time on the net but for no use so far.
    kind regards
    sudarshan

Google returns 552,000 hits on "virtual cathode". It's a first-time concept for me.

hi, thanks.all the google links and articles assume that we understand the concept and make reference to the virtual cathode and anode but none i could find makes an attempt to explain how that develops/formed.
any one who understands it can post a message
    regards

Reminds me of virtual ground. Never heard of "virtual cathode" and "virtual anode".

sudarsakkat, if this is what you want, please give me feed back.

i take what you mean by virtual chatodes and anodes is the analogy for that concept(s). is it right?

in what application is this concept build up? for example, a diode's cathode and anode. is this it?
