?Very long distance control circuit for Pump Motor..?

If I were to bag the above set-up and go another route are there any recommendations out there for a solid 240vac contactor (simple DPST) with a 24vdc activation coil and a good smaller low ma activated 24vdc relay to put the float switch circuit on and to to activate/run the larger contactor-coil. This contactor just controls the power that feeds my Franklin Motor and Pump Control Box. It's just a simple circuit bang on bang off, no other bells and whistles involved. This set-up is just meant to replace an existing Intermatic timer set-up I have been using. It will waste less water and only pump when I need it to.
