a quick Electronic Design I managed to fit in between my full time job and University studies. It's as simple as you like - a Multivibrator circuit with the Q and !Q lines fed to a couple of output FETs.

I'm planning on buying the women chocolates in my section myself.

They have kits that look a lot like those, Veleman I think. I think making it from scratch is more fun though.

 

Yeah I saw the kit on thinkgeek.com, and actually this design was based on it. Why didn't I just buy the kit? Well for exactly the reason you suggested actually... I like to design it myself. Plus, I'd like to think that mine is an improvement over the Veleman model

At least she can say that no other women had one of those for Valentines Day. Someone somewhere may have had one similar to it (i.e. the Veleman model) but nobody else will have had one exactly like it. It's a one-off.
