    hi, im not sure if many of you will have used the 18f2431, but there is a chance you might have.

    ive been programming my 2431 in picbasicpro, however ive come to a point where i need to use assembly language instead of BASIC language. this is easily integratable into my code. however im not used to the language at all.

    i need my pic to use its motionfeedback module, to measure 3 inputs. im measuring the period of 3 phases, each being measured on the cap1, cap2 and cap3 respectively. relating to porta.2 porta.3 and porta.4 respecitively.

    from the datasheets i need
    cap1m0 = 0101 ; cap1 measures period
    cap1ren = 1 ; cap1 resets timer after timing
    cap2m0 = 0101
    cap2ren = 1
    cap3m0 = 0101
    cap3ren = 1

    does anyone know how to code what ive described at all? i havnt the faintest clue on assembly even from looking at tutorials and examples...

    thanks for any help you can provide :)

    I am not familiar with picbasicpro but am not sure that you need to use asm. What lead you to that conclusion?
