I have shifted to a new country and electric sockets in my new room are all 110V. I have a microwave designed for 230V 1200 W input. Can I simply plug it in 110V socket and it will run?
Or I must use some step up transformer?
Thanks,

Do not plug it in!

You could use an external transformer. Needs to be 1200W rated. Probably cheaper (and safer) to buy a new microwave!

Thanks, as I noted from amazon such a transformer is costly in comparison to microwave price. So this micro is useless at its new place.
