I've just come back from a holiday, so I'm getting back into the 'electronics groove'.
I've done a bit of research into ZigBee, I think it's the way ahead for my wireless air pressure sensor.
I've drawn down a simple flowchart of my thoughts. I'm thinking that the MRF... would be a good transmitter module; small, cheap, simple...
I've thought about using a USB receiver. It'll make things easier and simpler for me. Two have stuck out at me. The Digi XStick and the Telegesis ETRX2USB. However, the Telegesis isn't compatible with any OS above XP, and the XStick is quite expensive.
So this brings me to my questions.
1. Is what I'm doing a reasonable way of doing things? Is a transmitter module and USB receiver a good combo?
2. Can anyone suggest a better USB receiver? By better, I mean compatible with Vista/Windows 7. And cheaper.
