Ups battery is so hot

    Dear sir please guide me.
    My ups battery is getting so hot what i do to make it cool.

    Hello,

    How old is the battery?
    It could well be that the battery has a higher internal resistance as before.

    Reduce the load or use a bigger battery or one with a higher C rating than what you have.

    Hello,

    As @tcmtech said, perhaps the battery is to small for what you using it for.
    What are the specifications of the UPS and the used battery?

    You can use a fan to cool it.

    My car battery is getting so hot.
    It is because I have a black car in the summer.
    First we need to find out WHY your battery is hot.
    Is it in a black car?
    Is it supplying current to the inverter so it provides the output power?
    Is it being charged instead of discharging?

    It's so hot that the Devil .... something something blah blah blah and said ouch! :confused:

    It's so hot that the mosquitos are catching a thermal updraft over the battery and they don't have to flap their wings to stay aloft.

    OOOpppps, this should have been posted in the How's The Weather thread. :p
