    Hello,

    All parts are pretty standard.
    The only special parts are the two tranducers for 40 kHz.

    Greetings,

    This is my first project so I really don't have much experience. Would digikey have what I need?

    I found this which looks perfect - http://www.sunrom.com/p-74.html

    Also, where can I find a PCB or breadboard (which is better) to build the project on?

    Thanks again, sorry for the noob q's

    Why don't you buy the kit that has everything that is needed.
    C3 is not needed.

    I noticed that C1 is shown shorting the input.

    SmartKit is from Greece but are available in many countries. I saw some being sold in a shop in my city on the other side of the world from Greece. Look for them in Google.

    So what does that mean with C1? Did they do something wrong?

    I'd rather put this together myself, I think I'll skip getting the SmartKit, thanks though

    In terms of input, should I also get something like this? http://media.digikey.com/photos/CUI Photos/PJ-102B.jpg

    Or is it included but I just don't see it. Thanks

    Guys, I have no idea what to get for these parts. When I search for these parts a million items come up. Any help? Thanks.

    TR1, 2, 3 = BC547 , BC548

    IC3 = 4093 C-MOS

    P1 = 10 KOhm trimmer
    P2 = 47 KOhm trimmer

    That is a power supply jack.

    Right, so I'd use that for a 12v input from an outlet to the board right?

    Wow, thank you so much.

    For future reference, how did you go about picking each component? It was a bit overwhelming having a million items pop up when I looked up those parts. Thanks again!

    Also, about the power jack. If I have a 120v ac power converter to 10v DC from the wall, that jack I put up before would work to power the board right? Given I mount the unit near a wall jack.

    Hello,

    To find the components on the website of digikey I used diffrent methods.
    The transistor I filled in in the search window.
    The CD4093 also.(I know there are CD and HEF as preface).
    The potmeters I looked in the list product index and looked for trimmers, then I have choosen BOURNS as a brand, single turn, through hole, 3386 sealed, then the value.
    I have choosen Bourns because we use then a my work also (the 25 turn types).

    Greetings,
    Bertus
