Hi , my first post .

Can anyone direct me to a link , which tells me the various types of uControllers used for Active Power Factor Correction in the UPS industry .

Design is for a SMPS ( single phase , three phase ) and aimed at power loads of 60 kVA .

There are hundreds of them. Define what you need to measure and control to accomplish active power factor correction and then look at the selection tables the various manufacturers put up on the web to pick one that can do the job.

Determine things like instruction cycle speed and a-d converter resolution.

Unitrode (now part of TI) developed the first pfc controller. Linear Tech also is a big player. These are not microcontrollers. They are mostly analog, mixed signal parts with sense amplifiers, at least one analog multiplier, etc.
