Two Relays to one Output

Hey, so I'm trying to have a NO/NC relay output that changes based on what is supposed to be two separate outputs. For instance, I have a temperature sensor and an alarm. When either one of them triggers it will trigger the output relay, but for some reason when one of the inputs triggers the NC part of the output relay will stay closed. I have the relays tied together at a terminal block, which I think might be the issue.

I have the common tied together, the NO end tied together, and the NC end tied together so when one of them triggers then it will trigger the output relay. But once again, the NC one doesn't open when either triggers. Any ideas?

Thanks for any possible help.

If I understand you correctly, you have two relays with the contacts wired to each other. In that case, when only one relay is activated all the relay contact terminals will be shorted to each other.

It would be better to use just one relay which is operated by either of your two inputs.
