I'm trying to implement a two phase induction motor and I have a few questions. Is the two phase motor just a single phase motor with a second inductor permanently used in run mode? Also, do two phase motors that run off mains electricity receive the same voltage signals?
Currently, I'm working with a single phase motor that has a start and a run capacitor. I'm trying to feed in independent signals that have the same amplitude but are shifted by 90 degrees, but I'm scared that since the motor windings aren't identical, something bad will happen.
