Hi

I'm trying to find the datasheet for an 817C optocoupler - I think that the other text on the chip is "1607 AWS" but it is very small!

I tried the suggestions in the 'Five Places to Find Part Info Online' article but no luck.

I've found similar but not one for the AWS chip - I was wondering if anybody knew of one for my specific chip as the CTR values seem to vary widely on the various 817C datasheets that I have found. (They are cheap chips from China, I did ask the seller if they had a datasheet but no luck.)

I suppose it should be possible to work out a test circuit to measure this, but I'm not sure I'd do it reliably. I used the diode function on my multimeter to get the forward voltage - anything more complicated I'm just messing about trying to learn!

I don't really need the CTR, I'm not doing anything that sensitive! I could just try different resistor values but I'm trying to learn a little as I play.
