I am replacing the TRRS plug on a friend's stereo headset that has a microphone attached to it. Is it safe for me to assume all headphone TRRS plugs use the same wiring convention? One step further, would that convention be the following:
Tip = L phone
1st ring = R phone
2nd ring = Mic output
Sleeve = common.
I searched and found lots of PTT setups, and lots of TRS setups, but nothing useful to me for a TRRS like this.
Thanks,
Joe
