Triac control of induction motor

    sir,
    i am student & new member for this website.iam doing one project i.e speed control of single phase induction motor using triac .recently i got one circuit from the inernet but i didn'tget speed control.so please send one circuiut for this.the specifications of the motor are as follows:


    single phase induction motor

    voltage:230v
    current:2.5A
    hp:1/2

    please send imediatly

    Your post did not relate in any way to the thread it appeared in, so it has its own now.

    The speed of an induction motor must be controlled by changing the frequency of the AC voltage applied to it. A TRIAC can be used to vary the speed of a universal brush motor, although PWM is much better.

    Look for information about Variable Frequency Drive to see how to control your motor.
