transistor

    could u please suggest a transistor having Vbe on= 1.2v and IC >3amp

    That large a Vbe means it must be a Darlington. Just go to a manufacturer's site a do a parametric search. You will need to specify parameters like voltage and so on.

    Look up the datasheet for a 2SC4242, NPN power transistor.
    Ic=4.0A when Vbe(sat)=1.2V, Ib=800mA.

    A TIP31 is a medium power transistor. Its base-emitter voltage is typically 1.2V when its collector current is 3A and its base current is 300mA.
