HI I built a 30 amp linier power supply using a schematic you guys referred to me. I'm thinking of using two transistors (2n4277) to carry the load as I figure that would make it easier on the transistors. I have them on a giant heat sink but am wondering if I add a current limiting circuit to each of them so's not to over work them. Got any suggestions?

A 30 amp linear supply seems awfully large! Have you considered a switcher?

 

Are you referring to a 30 amp switching power supply? If so I'd be glad to do that. Do you have any schematic's I might try?
