i have some question
1 - Why should the supply frequency be maintained constant in no-load test of 1-phase transformer

2 - Why is the P.F of the transformer is small on no-load

 

1. The frequency affects the value of the magnetizing current.

2. The no-load input current of a transformer is largely inductive magnetizing current.
