Dear Sirs,

I got a transformer from the old circuits which i got from the electronic shop. this is what is written on the transformer.
Input : 120v 60Hz
Output: 12v 200mA.
but there is no where mentioned the wattage.
how to know how much is the wattage. if i can use this to make driver for fluorescent tube of 17W.

Please give me some knowledge about this. i have already googled the topic but did not find anything.

Power (watts) = volts x amps

12V x 0.2A = 2.4W

 

So I can't use this to run that cfl tube. Thank you sir.
