Training in two-way radio repair - any route(s) ?

Having recently completed a couple years of basic training in electronics technology theory and practice, I was looking forward to a specialized course in two-way radio maintenance and repair (VHF and HF transceivers).

The only course which I could locate (conventional distance learning) has been to all intents and purposes, dropped by the provider and has been replaced by material that, while still using the word 'communications', is clearly about computers, cell-phones and the wireless options in those branches of electronics.
No doubt this is a more lucrative ROI for the provider and maybe, also reflects what is in current demand. But can any knowledgeable persons here tell me what is the state of the art regarding two-way radio repair training? Are enthusiasts still pursuing training in this specialty and if so, what options are available in terms of self-study?

I am obliged.

Tks. ole chap, for the website info.

There goes that word 'engineering'.

Few things frighten me like that word.

Regards.
