Hello,

In this international forum we have a lot of timezones to cross.
It would be nice if the members would put the timezone (in GMT) in the signature like I did.
This would give a better idea when to expect an answer or when your reply is seen.

Greetings,

Bertus,

Such a practice would be helpful. I have added my GMT timezone reference in my location field. That way it is viewable on a continuous basis. I will need to remember to tweak it for DST twice a year.

Many guys on these forums are up all night. Too much caffeine?
Maybe they work all night long.
Maybe they can't sleep at night. Their gf or wife keeps them up all night. My wife ... never mind.
Maybe they are back from a trip and have jet-lag.
Then their time-zone is meaningless.

Hello,

For people who do not want to reveal their real location,
only the time stamp in the location field is appreaciated.

Good idea bertus.

Most people would know mine since the UK has only one time zone, but this would be a good idea since the three largest demographics on the forums is the US, Canada, and India.

I'm one of the odd ducks where time zones are meaningless. I work third shift (10PM-6AM), and do a lot of my posting from work (Bad Bill!). I spend a lot of my free time here too, so you will see me on at all hours of the day.
