Yes...I think. Remove R5, replace Q3 with a sensitive-gate SCR, and put a normally-closed switch (reset) in series with the lamp.

You probably couldn't use an SCR, because you won't easily be able to turn it off when it's triggered. Unless you have an external reset switch, but then you couldn't turn it off easily from the timer...

Could anyone recommend a good SCR to start with. I dont know if you can get those at radioshack. Is a thyristor and a SCR the same thing? This hobby is killing me. Thanks for your time, Dave.
