Timer capacitor resistor

    Hi
    Please explain me How come that 22uF + 100 ohm resistor in series, are make 6 Sec timer ?

    Thanks...

    The capacitor will charge to about 98% of the supply voltage in about 0.011 seconds.
    It is not accurate because the 22uF electrolytic capacitor might have a value from 18uF to 26uF.

    If the resistor is 56k ohms then the capacitor will be almost fully charged in about 6 seconds.

    On what basis are you claiming that it is a six second timer?
